Short version: your data is never sent to us or any third party. If you turn on the optional iCloud sync, your data syncs only to your own private iCloud account — never to us.
By default, all data you enter into Moniq — transactions, categories, budgets, settings — is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage. No data is transmitted to any server or third party unless you turn on the optional iCloud sync described below.
Moniq does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information.
Moniq does not include any third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. No usage data, behavioural data, or device identifiers are sent to us or any third party.
Moniq uses Apple's MetricsKit framework, which provides iOS apps with aggregated, anonymised performance and crash diagnostics collected by the operating system. This data is gathered by Apple — not by us — and we receive only aggregate summaries. Individual user data is never accessible through MetricsKit.
Moniq does not share any data with third parties. There are no integrations with external services that access your financial data, other than the optional iCloud sync described below, which stores data only in your own private iCloud account under Apple's standard terms — never with us or anyone else.
You can export your data as a CSV file from within the app at any time. You can delete all app data using the reset option in settings. Uninstalling Moniq removes all associated data from your device.
Moniq offers an optional iCloud sync, off by default. If you turn it on in Settings, your data is mirrored to your own private CloudKit database using Apple's encrypted infrastructure and associated with your Apple ID. This data never passes through servers we operate and is never accessible to us — we cannot see, access, or download it.
Turning sync back off stops new changes from syncing; data already synced remains in your private iCloud account until you remove it via your device's iCloud settings or delete the app's data. Manual CSV export and import work the same whether or not sync is enabled.
Moniq is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted here with a revised date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
